Thanksgiving breakfast is the best meal of the day. It’s the meal that gives you energy for cooking turkey, and usually is the last meal of the day you eat until Thanksgiving dinner. The kids will usually have a little snack, but us adults know that we need to conserve lot’s of room in our stomachs for some delicious turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, rolls and green bean casserole.
And pumpkin and apple pie. Can’t forget the best part of the meal, right?
Here are some great breakfasts to get you started off right:
French Toast Casserole
French Toast Casserole: I still find this is one of my favorites because you can make it the night before and pop it in the oven in the morning.
Kneaders Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread: One of our site favorites this year! Makes a few loaves so you can feed guests staying at your house easily! Make it ahead of time and have the loaves sitting out on the counter Thanksgiving morning to munch on while you cook.
Whole Grain Chocolate Chip Pancakes or Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Waffles: These are so easy to make ahead and freeze. Take them out of the freezer, nuke them and they are perfect for hungry kids (grown up ones too).
Whole Grain Peach Upside Down Cake: Mmmm…not too sweet but just perfect for a delicious Thanksgiving breakfast!
Get your day started off right with a hot bowl of Cinnamon and Strawberry Steel Cut Oats. You can cook them in the rice cooker to make it easier!
