Best of 2011

December 29, 2011

Happy New Year from our family to your’s! Today we decided to do a roundup of the most popular recipes on our site from 2011:

Kneaders Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread

if you live in the state of Utah you know Kneaders. They have fantastic baked products and their pumpkin chocolate chip bread is a favorite during the fall. Many people must enjoy their bread … a lot because it’s been our most popular recipe of the year!

You can get the recipe and make it yourself now whether you live in Utah or not! It’s delicious and the best pumpkin chocolate chip bread recipe you’ll taste!

Toy Story 3 Birthday Party

This cake was one of the hardest I’ve ever made, but the boys loved it along with all of the activities that we planned that day. It’s funny that this post was almost two years ago but still is one of the most popular on our website. A lot of parents must be planning Toy Story parties for their children! We enjoyed fun activities like glow in the dark nerf gun fights and a water balloon fight. It was great fun!

Unfortunately the pictures didn’t turn out that great but I’m just happy that the food and the party itself DID turn out perfectly! (Although if you are an avid follower you’ll notice I haven’t used fondant since this party).

What Baby Foods Will/Won’t Freeze

A lot of parents are trying to make the switch to eating and living healthier, and making your own baby food is just one great way to do that. This year our baby food chart has been extremely popular and with a baby just starting to eat solids I’m starting to find out it’s coming in just as handy for me too!

I realized that making your own baby food really isn’t that hard, and is so simple and easy!

Applebee’s Maple Butter Blondies

Applebee’s is a popular favorite. One of the most popular desserts on the menu is Applebee’s maple butter blondies. They come out on a steaming hot skillet and are just delicious!

Our girls nights often include these because it’s one of the only restaurants open in town that late where us girls can get together and talk.

When my husband started craving one of these, we set out to the kitchen to re create the recipe. We came up with one that is pretty close and satisfied our craving.

One of the favorite pages on our site is the “burnt” section. It is really fun for us to go back and laugh at my common kitchen mishaps. Unfortunately I only get footage of half of the kitchen mishaps I have.

Like a kitchen knife to the butt.

Or mistaking the can of Lysol for Pam.

It’s just a day in the life of me.
