Garden Going to the Dogs

July 11, 2011

Are you planting a garden? It’s been fun to watch our garden grow. Some plants are growing like weeds (some are weeds–little behind with the weeding because of the new baby) and some are failing this year with our crazy weather we’ve had.

Bell peppers? Epic failure. They are now sporting spots and haven’t grown much since I planted them two months ago.

The peas are also an epic failure this year. But the green beans, corn, pumpkins, squash and carrots are doing well.

And the broccoli has gone to the dogs–literally. I’m always catching them eating the plants. And our big dog likes to hide her frisbees from the small dog under the leaves of the broccoli. Needless to say the broccoli hasn’t done well this year.

How is YOUR garden doing this year? Post a comment and let me know. And be sure to jump over to our sister site, Healthy Deals n’ Steals for a FREE gardening download for kids from Earthbound Farms organic
