Grilled Pineapple and Agave

I love grilled pineapple. LOVE it. It’s the best. Not such a fan of plain uncooked pineapple except in small doses. Wonder why that is? However grilled pineapple? Bring it! The other day when we were making grilled chicken and/or vegetable skewers–grilled for me, carnivorous for the rest of the family–and I enjoyed a delicious dessert afterwards of grilled pineapple.

All you need is to slice up and core the pineapple. I didn’t do such a great job for my first pineapple, but I’m sure I’ll do better next time. I like mine grilled on the BBQ in the summer, but when I made it this time I opted for the broiler of my oven. Just wait until it’s lightly browned on top, remove it and brush it with a little of agave nectar.

Delicious, sweet, juicy, and perfect for a low calorie after dinner treat.
